Evidence Based Efficacy of Acupuncture in Treatment of Musculoskeletal Pain in Rheumatic Disorders

Correspondence to: Stella Pui-Yan Wong Abstract: Acupuncture is one of the most commonly used complementary/alternative medicines among the Chinese population. Knowing relevant evidence of acupuncture in the treatment of rheumatic and musculoskeletal disorders is becoming more and more important as frequently doctors are being asked about its efficacy. This review covers the most recent evidence in the use of acupuncture in treatment of musculoskeletal pain in rheumatic disorders. Differences between Western and Chinese studies were also addressed.
